Have you pondered what it means to actively 'know thyself'? Or when it's said, 'You must do-the-work' or 'you need to work on you'? What does that look-like exactly (working-on-me)? How would one even begin to engage Thyself (Temet Nosce)? Does it chiefly consist upon taking oneself on dates? Holding conversations with oneself? Spending time&attention exclusively on the things that suit one's forward-movement and pleasure-principles? Or maybe, investing in self-based assessments and self-driven scholarship? Or treating oneself to extra-curricula activities? Or expanding one's discovery-zones and waves of wisdom? Or reading bedtime stories to onself...or speaking softly to oneself and truly trusting one's heart-over-head contemplation (vs. head-over-heart). It could also mean exploring the stories one tells itself, as well as serving as the protector of what's allowed in through the eyes and ears. Which can easily include keeping a keen eye upon the company kept and, or the conversations with others that are unjust and full of force and fiery.

The superficial mannerisms are slowly but surely dissolving.
